Khen Rinpoche Tulku Tenzin Kalden

Khen Rinpoche Tulku Tenzin Kalden was born in Rikong in Amdo in 1966. After graduating from elementary school in his hometown, Khen Rinpoche Tulku Tenzin Kalden went to Tongren Middle School for Nationalities, then to Huangnan State Nationalities Normal School and finally to Lanzhou Northwest Nationalities College. Later, he became a teacher at Gaden Jangtse Monastery in the Tibetan settlement at Mundgod (Karnataka State, India) and taught Tibetan. He is proficient in both in Tibetan and in Chinese.

 

Khen Rinpoche Tulku Tenzin Kalden is in charge of a monastery in Amdo and is also the Abbot of Tabo Monastery. He has received an award for his vision and actions to ensure the welfare of the people of the region. Using his excellent Tibetan language and calligraphy skills, he updated the calligraphy books for Serkong School. Khen Rinpoche Tulku Tenzin Kalden also gives teachings to students abroad.
